Adler Axes Super Splitter ( 6.2 lb Head, 31.5" Handle )

A heavy-duty splitting tool incorporating a hollow-forge expansion wedge. The unique head shape effectively powers the wood apart while not clamping. Ergonomic US-hickory handle with unique anti-slip paint for better grip. There is a metal collar to project the throat of the tool. Each Super Splitter comes with a leather sheath.

While relatively new to the American market, Adler axes have been made in Germany since 1919 when village blacksmith Josef Schmitt set out to make high quality steel products with great heat treats, and has since grown. Now, the company is run by his descendants, who still strive to make great axes with environmental sustainability in mind.
