The inspiration behind our name stems from our owner's faithful companion, Finn, a Wheaten Terrier known for his energy and charm. Originating from Ireland, Wheaten Terriers were once dubbed the 'Poor Man's Wolfhound,' and we believe Finn embodies the spirit of our brand.
Lucky Dog Knife Co. is the brainchild of Andrew Kidd, a graphic designer with over 20 years of experience. Based in the heart of the Midwest in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Andrew's passion for design has driven him to create everyday carry knives that you'll be proud to carry.
Inspired by classic spey blade working knives of yesteryear, the RanchDog is a pocket fixed blade knife built for modern EDC. Each knife is waterjet cut, heat treated, and handmade from the blank and will vary slightly from one to another.
