ABS Journeyman Smith Peter Bromley has been making knives part-time for over twenty-five years. Peter prides himself on sole authorship and forges, heat treats and does all the leather work using many machines he has built himself. Working exclusively with carbon steels and his own forged Damascus, he crafts lock backs, liner locks, and friction folders as well boot, neck and a series of hunting knives. Peter is additionally recognized for his historical Bowies. This particular Bromley Bowie has a high polished carbon steel blade, capped in a wood coffin profiled handle with brass inlays.
