Half Face Blades was founded by Andrew Arrabito, a retired Navy SEAL to meet the need for high-quality, “go to” knives and axes. Half Face Blades knives are designed with the distinction and ruggedness required for the work they are intended to do. Each knife is calculated to meet requirements gained by experience, by testing knives and axes, by using them over time at sea and in remote wildernesses.

At the heart of the Buteo is a 3.5-inch modified tanto blade, shaped for both piercing strength and everyday slicing capability. Unlike a traditional tanto, the modified profile includes a slight belly to improve its cutting versatility while still retaining the reinforced tip that excels in hard-use scenarios. It’s made from CPM S45VN stainless steel—an elite, American-made steel that holds its edge through heavy use and stands strong against corrosion in any environment.

Finished in a rugged acidwashed finish, the blade gains additional a non-reflective, stealth-ready look—perfect for tactical and field applications.

This knife is built full tang, meaning the steel runs from tip to handle base, delivering unmatched strength and structural integrity. The handle is fitted with gray shredded carbon fiber scales—durable, weather-resistant.
