Designed by Jeff Park, who studied under legendary knifemaker Ken Onion, the Bones gets its name from its dog bone-shaped handle. This version, available in sleek bead blast and satin, is only available on Massdrop. Made from titanium with a diamond pattern for grip, the slim handle has fluted edges for an even more slimming look. Nearly every other aspect of the knife is also made from titanium, from the backspacer to the pocket clip to the liner. The blade, too, is a work of art in itself. Made from M390 steel—which has higher hardness and corrosion resistance, and better edge retention than steels like D2—it’s shaped like a modified tanto with a trailing point for more wrist extension when cutting. The fine point allows access to hard-to-reach areas, while the full-flat grind is ideal for slicing. Bead blasted to match the handle, the deep-carry clip allows the knife's slender frame to virtually disappear in any pocket.
